I passed my medical exam at Utrecht University. After my preliminary training in General Surgery at the Sint-Jozef Hospital in Veldhoven, I completed the follow-up training in plastic surgery at the University Medical Center St Radboud in Nijmegen in 2005.
I was educated in several hospitals to be an all-round plastic surgeon. After my registration as a plastic surgeon in 2005, I started working in the partnership Twente/Achterhoek. I have become very experienced in all aspects of plastic surgery. The face has always had my special attention. It reflects a person’s soul and every face is unique. I have been able to help many children with a hare lip (cleft). I also set up a team for people with facial paralysis (facialis parese) so that I could gain experience in this disease, which fortunately is rare, but has a huge impact on someone’s life.
It requires a personal, tailor-made treatment. This makes the work so fascinating. With every customer I keep asking myself:
“Am I able to bring that change that will make the client happier?” It is always nice when this works, but it sometimes also means saying “no”. In the first half of 2016 I made a world trip with my family to Australia, New Zealand and the USA. During that trip, I always felt the need to focus more in terms of work. That is when I decided to devote myself entirely to aesthetic plastic surgery.
My areas of interest are the face (facelift, nose correction, forehead lift, eyelid correction, protruding ears correction, neck correction), breast corrections (breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift and gynecomastia correction), liposuction and lipofilling of the face and body. By attending many international conferences and courses, I stay up-to-date. So my patients can expect state-of-the-art work.
I am married and I have three children. In my spare time I like to run, do recreationally fitness and enjoy windsurfing and sailing.
