A tummy tuck or abdominoplasty is a correction of your abdominal wall to ensure that your sagging and stretched skin is removed from your abdomen. By removing the excess loose skin, you will get a tighter stomach.
Despite the fact that your figure will improve significantly, this treatment is not a method for losing weight quickly. After the tummy tuck you will stay with us overnight.
This treatment will cause scars. However, I will do my very best to let the scars fall under your underwear, so that they are not visible. During the consultation I will inform you about this and show you some examples.
Do I have to worry about ugly scars?
With a tummy tuck you always have scars. I have a lot of experience with “hiding” scars, for example under your underwear. For the first six months the scars are clearly visible. Then they fade. It will take one and a half year to see the final result.
When can I go home after surgery?
Tummy tuck is a relatively heavy cosmetic operation. You stay overnight with us for observation. Immediately after the treatment you will be given a pressure band that you will have to wear for six weeks. After that, you can start exercising and heavy lifting again.
When is it possible to have a tummy tuck?
If you are dissatisfied with the excess skin on your stomach, you can have a tummy tuck surgery. If you are otherwise healthy and have reached adulthood, there is no barrier to have this surgery.
When can I go to the beach again?
Please note that it can take two to three months to fully recover. This is the time for the swelling to disappear and the scar tissue to settle.
I am an experienced plastic surgeon, specialized in cosmetic surgery. I have been working as a plastic surgeon since 2005. For a long time, I have been working as an all-round plastic surgeon in several leading hospitals. Therefore, I have gained a lot of experience. Plastic surgery of the face has always had my special attention.
My work requires a personal and tailor-made approach. This is what makes my work so fascinating. Every time I ask myself: ‘Will I be able to bring a change, which makes the patient happier?’ It is always great when this is possible, but sometimes it also means saying ‘no’.
I focus completely on aesthetic plastic surgery. My areas of interest are the face, breast corrections, liposuction and lipofilling of the face and body. By attending many international conferences and courses I stay up-to-date. This way you can be assured that I always deliver state-of-the-art work.
